From Presenting Lenore, we hear the first public viewing for The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire, will occur at BEA. Think those babies are going to be snatched up pretty quickly? Now how can I get one?
Melissa Marr’s hugely anticipated sequel (is this the right word for third in a series) Fragile Eternity has launched. Melissa is bringing us back to the story of Seth and Aislinn and Keenan. Me? I’m looking forward to it. And one great thing I love about reading books is being able to recommend them to others.
Do kids like speculative fiction? Check this list out before you answer. There are some amazing speculative fiction books on this year’s YALSA’s Teens’ Top Ten Nominations list.
Stardate 05.07.09 – Need I say more?
And finally, the stuff science fiction was born from. Is Gliese 581 d or e the next Earth?

PJ Hoover is ready for other planets to be colonized.
Those two books are on my dying to read list! I just finished Hunger Games yesterday and I am highly anticipating the sequel! I hope it’s just as good, if not better!
I really hope the same thing, Lesley! I have such high hopes for Catching Fire since I enjoyed it so much. Sometimes I wonder if this is a good thing.
LOL–As soon as I saw that box, I knew who had posted today, PJ!
I can’t wait for the Catching Fire sequel. Nor can I wait for the new Star Trek movie! I’ve been a Star Wars girl for so long…but the most recent two movies were such duds for me that I might just be convinced to jump ship!
Star Trek is way cooler than Star Wars, Beth. At least for the nerds among us.
And yes, I loved the cereal picture again, I had to recycle it
Another sequel people have been coming in for is Awakening by Kelley Armstrong. I haven’t read Summoning yet but I plan to, a few of my co workers really enjoyed it. I am also looking forward to reading the new Melissa Marr. Some teens will say they’ve over spent, but there is so much good YA out how could they not. And though they already have their hands filled, and are screaming no more, I am quick to point out Graceling or Hunger Games.
Hey Doret! I haven’t read Summoning yet, but I’ll add it to the list!
And if teens have to overspend on something, books are the perfect thing!
Loved Hunger Games!
That cereal looks too fun. Where did you buy it at? Did you buy it yet? And Catching Fire, be still my soul. I need. Call me an uninformed nerd, but is there a release date slated for the new Star Trek movie yet?
At our local grocery, Heather! And it was yummy cereal!
May 8th, 2009 is the big day!
Suzanne Collins is amazing. Can’t wait to get my hands on THAT sequel!
I know, Sherrie! I’m already putting out feelers for an ARC

I can’t agree more, Abby!
