THE LANGUAGE OF BEES by Laurie R. King
My all-time favorite summer read is Seventeenth Summer. I was a teen when I read it, and it has stuck with me this whole time. In fact, I may just re-read it this summer.
The Stolen Child by Keith Donohue
A engrossing and delightfully creepy book.
Summers at Castle Auburn by Sharon Shinn. I love that book, and I reread it often in the summer.
I love Sharon Shinn!
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert is a favorite of mine!
The Secret History by Donna Tartt.
Although, really, it would be a great read any time of year.
If you mean the summer book to read and reread and reread each summer – I have this thing for Jane Eyre
My favorite summer read is Harry Potter. After the last book came out, I spent the summer rereading the whole series, looking for the clues and remembering things I’d forgotten.
In previous summers, I’ve always read one (or two or three) Harry Potter books, either because they were released then or because I wanted to reread them before I saw that year’s movie. I’ll be rereading “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” this summer!
I also just picked up the book “The Demon’s Lexicon” by Sarah Rees Brennan and loved it, so I have a feeling I’ll be reading that more than once this summer too. =D
My all-time favorite was The Red and the Black by Stendahl. I read it back in college a way long time ago, but I still remember it as a fantastic book in every way.
death of a garage sale newbie
” The Red Tent” by Anita Diamant is my favorite summer read.

I love a good beach read in the summer. Anything by Elin Hilderbrand or Dorothea Benton Frank.
My favorite summer read is “The Handmaid’s Tale” by Margaret Atwood.
Do-Over by Robin Hemley.
Thanks for the giveaway!

I am currently reading “My Sister’s Keeper” and that has got to be one of my favorites so far!
The Beach – Alex Garland
Is it unfair if my favorite read of the summer (so far) isn’t even available yet?
ONCE WAS LOST, by Sara Zarr
The “In Death” series by JD Robb
I usually use summer to re-read favorites: Narnia, Hitchhiker’s Guide, The Hero and the Crown. But this summer, I’ve got so many new authors to read that I don’t know where to start!!! Maybe with Magic Study by Maria Snyder (I think–maybe it’s Schieder? Oh, dear, I need a Stump the Bookseller!)
My favorite summer read is to read the Hobbit and the LOTR trilogy. It’s like watching a movie in my mind.
Anything by James Patterson
I have no favorite summer read. But I am looking forward to reading the new Reacher book by Lee Child.
Thanks for the giveaway >^..^<

The Richest Man In Town is what I’m reading now and it is a great book.
Funny Farm by Jay Cronley is a great, entertaining laugh riot and perfect for quick summer reading!
I read a lot of Terry Pratchett in the summer. He just cracks me up, and there’s nothing like sitting out in the backyard with a book, giggling like an idiot, and frightening all the neighbors.
The Secret Garden–for bringing back wonderful, wonderful childhood memories.
To Kill A Mockingbird was the first book I ever read, so I like to revisit it every Summer
Bitter is The New Black by Jennifer Lancaster
Any L.M. Montgomery. Also HOLLY IN LOVE by Caroline B Cooney. I’ve read that book over and over and it never gets old.
Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult.
Thanks!
One summer I read all of the Carpathian series books by Christine Feehan!
Thanks
I just finished Jane Austen Ruined My Life by Beth Pattillo which was a really good summer read.
I would have to say anything by Nora Roberts. A little romance and mystery always makes for a good summer read.
Going through the Narnia series on Audio this summer with my husband, as he’s never read them and we have several road trips coming up.
I will be picking up the new MAX: A MAXIMUM RIDE NOVEL by James Patterson.
My favorite summer read is Summer Sisters by Judy Blume.
For me, I’d have to say re-reading Ballerina by Edward Stewart. It gives an insider’s look at professional dancing in New York, something I’d always dreamed of but never had a chance to pursue.
My favorite summer read is Bone By Bone by Carol O’Connell. It is a great murder mystery. Thanks for the giveaway!
Forever associated with the summer release of each original, I still try to read the entire Harry Potter series every summer.
Thanks
Medusa by Clive Cussler.
My favorite summer read this year is Along For the Ride by Sarah Dessen! I love reading books that are set in the Summer during my Summer!
My favorite summer read…well, it could be WILDFIRE AT MIDNIGHT by Mary Stewart or HARRY POTTER or THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE PINK CARNATION by Lauren Willig or THE SEASON by Sarah MacLean…or any number of other wonderful books
Testimony by Anite Shrieve. Thanks for the contest!
Before Green Gables by Budge Wilson (Anne of Green Gables prequel!)
My favorite all time summer read is Gone with the Wind.
A Kiss In Time by Alex Flinn
It’s romantic, takes place during summer vacation, has a spunky female heroine, and a happy ending!
My favorite summer read so far has been The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Hilarious read.
My favorite book that I’ve read so far this summer has to be The Hunger Games. Loved that book!
Thanks for the contest, I would love any of those cool prizes.
I think summer reading should be entertaining, not too taxing but exciting in a sultry kind of way. So I’m thinking any Sookie Stackhouse story of that unflappable barmaid with a penchant for paranormal lovers would be a hoot. Or among my newest favorites: Melissa Marr’s Fairie trilogy, featuring a mortal girl who discovers she is Queen of the Summer Court, a place filled with all of the season’s delights and danger.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! Getting ready for the movie.
Coraline by Neil Gaiman. It’s really good book.
My favorite book read this summer has been The Girl Who Stopped Swimming by Joshilyn Jackson.
My favorite read for this summer is res judicata by Vicki Grant. OMG, I haven’t laughed so much while reading a book as I did reading this really excellent mystery. Each short chapter is titled with a legal word or phrase and its intelligible definition, so I was learning about the law while enjoying Cyril’s adventures. Cyril, by the way, is the fourteen year old, skateboarding son of his a hippie-goth-turned-lawyer Mom.
The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King
My favorite summer read was Downbelow Station by CJ Cherryh. I may reread it this midsummer…!
The Partner by John Grisham
The year before my oldest was born, I spent the summer afternoons by the pool (I’m a minister and work weird hours) reading the Dark is Rising books. Not the best summer reading, maybe, but my favorite, favorite memories of summer reading.
I also try to read something by Judy Blume every summer (like Summer Sisters).
I like to read Winter Holiday, by Arthur Ransome, when it gets really hot in August, and I need to spend time on a frozen lake in northern England.
My favorite this summer so far is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.
Ooh…The Hunger Games was amazing. But my all time favorite summer read is Ender’s Game. I read it at least once a year, and can never set it down once I start.
My favorite one this summer is over my dead body by michele bardsley
